About Me

Finding Inspiration

I've always been interested in looking at the world through though textures, shapes and patterns.  I like the challenge of capturing emotions and the feeling of movement in a static image without the distraction of colour. All of my images carry a personal story behind them, and the candid street portraits often have a deeper story that we can only guess at.

The majority of my work is made with my trusty Canon 5D Mk3 and a 70-200mm f/2.8 lens. I keep post production to a minimum with only slight adjustments to improve composition and contrast. I find the boldness strengthens the mood.

In recent months, whilst foraging in a London street market, I found an old manual Fuji STX-1 35mm film camera, the same camera that I had as a kid. It's a bit battered and bruised but produces some lovely images and so i'll be adding a few retro captures to the portfolio, like the one below, as time goes by.
